Very often the disclosure that a child has been sexually
abused will shake a relationship to its very core.

Arguing, blaming, name-calling, anger, frustration and
distancing between partners are all common reactions when a
child has been sexually abused. Even seemingly strong
marriages and relationships, often, do not survive this
traumatic event.

Specialized counseling is available for the child, the siblings
and even the perpetrator but, unfortunately, often not readily
available for the parents of the sexually abused child.

Dr. Rothenberg provides marriage and relationship counseling
designed specifically for parents of sexually abused children
that addresses their unique issues, needs and challenges.
